Night Write: each week, students will practice using writing traits. Night writes give the students the opportunity
and benefits of daily writing practice. Topics are assigned on Monday and due on Thursday. Please encourage your child
to read his or her night write outloud but resist the temptation to scrutinize. Night writes are shared in class as a way
of fostering a writing community. Selected night writes will be edited and published in class.
